An edition of Bjørn Nørgaard (1981)

Bjørn Nørgaard.

Bjørn Nørgaard (b. 1947) is regarded as Denmark's most important and versatile contemporary sculptor. Having become known in the 1960s through Happenings (in some cases with Joseph Beuys), he has occupied himself since the 1970s mainly with sculptures and mural decorations, and most recently also with avantgarde architecture. This publication presents both diverse Environments and some of his archaic-seeming large-scale sculptures reminiscent of Aztec temple figures.
