Edition Notes
Title from container.
An edition of fifteen with two artist's proofs.
Issued in a clamshell box.
Two poems by Gerry Gomez Pearlberg. Portrait of a neighbor's tree in bloom is bound in an accordion-fold format, with ten leaves, printed on one side only. Leaves [5] and [6] are a blind-stamped and cut paper illustration, with red paper seen through the cut-outs. First and last leaves are mounted on black cloth-covered boards. Litany at dusk is also bound in an accordion-fold format, with ten leaves printed on one side only, bound at the top, and opens horizontally. Boards are covered in brown cloth, with a wooden stick fastened to the upper board, from which the book can be mounted as a wall hanging.
Portrait of a neighbor's tree in bloom was made in collaboration with Peter Schell, who also made the drawing. Both books were printed by Roni Gross.
LC copy is signed by the author, artist, and printer.
