The first part is based on the author's Modus addiscendi (Frankfurt, 1756), which he supplements in the second part of the current work with six additional languages. Notable also for its phonetic transcriptions, including an appendix on English pronunciation--Bernard Quaritch (book dealer's) description.

Each part has separate title page with etched vignette.
