From issues of the Illustrated London news, Apr. 20-July 6, 1844; in the form of clippings mounted on [14] leaves of a scrapbook with binder's title: History of wood engraving.
Additional illustrations of wood engraving (as late as 1857) and other matter (partly relating to anastatic printing) are mounted on [32] other leaves of the scrapbook. Penciled notes identify 2 prints as drawn and transferred by the anastatic process to zinc in Feb. 1848 by C.D.M.S.
"All these pictures &c were in this book when I bought it--Aug. 1909"--Penciled inscription by Howard C. Levis.
