First edition of the first antiquarian topography of Rome.

On t.p., the "aeditae" is followed by (2+)7 lines of verse, "D. Ioannis Fuluii endecasyllabon Ad lectorem."

Title page text within white-on-black Renaissance woodcut border that includes medallion with portrait of Fulvius and, at bottom, a chase scene.

Imprint information from outside sources.

Papal privilege on verso of t.p. is dated 15 Feb. 1527.

Signatures: A⁶ B⁴; ²B-T⁶ (T6 blank). Foliation faulty.

Errata ("Deprauationes") on verso of penultimate leaf (T5b),

Includes index (prelim. leaves [4-9])

LC copy lacks prelim. leaf [10], believed blank.
