Professor N. K. Sundareswaran is already known to the scholarly world as the author and editor of numerous works related to Vedic, literary and scientific literature in Sanskrit. As the work has many textual problems a selection of appropriate reading becomes inevitable. The editor has done that also admirably well in the present work. The Kŗşņapriyā commentary commentary adds to its value as a source book of Advaitaved¡nta. The prose order, meaning of words and explanations given in the commentary are useful and make the text easier to understand. By bringing out this volume Dr. Sundareswaran has become an essential contributor to the vast area of Advaita literature.
