He devotes a chapter to the "Sewer Socialist" group in the common council with Mayor Emil Seidel, 1910-1912.
Mayor Daniel Hoan held office through the difrficult years 1916-1949.
Mayor Frank Zeidler calmed various immigrant waves 1948-1960.
Turner Hall was an important site for them all.
