"Tragabigzanda," the Turkish princess's melodious name that was given to Cape Ann by Capt. John Smith, who explored the area 1614, is a name perpetuated today by a small street off Atlantic Road in East Gloucester, which overlooks the three islands the adventurer and cartographer celled "the three Turks' Heads."
