Typescript reproduced on coarse brown and sand-colored paper, with decorative borders and colored tissue endpapers, stapled and glued to cardboard covered with illustrated wrappers. Front wrapper has movable flaps representing the front of a country house and a thatched roof. These open to reveal pop-up figures of Pelusín and his grandmother seated at a table. Wrappers have hand-colored line drawings; thatched roof is represented by colored crepe paper "shingles" or thatching.
Part of a collection of handmade chapbooks, most with cords for hanging (literatura de cordel), published by Ediciones Vigía under the auspices of the Cuban Ministry of Culture.
