Edition Notes
The commentary, by lemmas, does not include text of the Institutiones.
Title page and recto of leaf II (beginning of the Prohemium) in red and black.
The t.p. includes large rectangular frame with device of Filippo Pinzi (in red); motto Laudate Dominum omnes gentes.
Signatures: 3A-3E⁶; a-z⁸ [et]⁸ [con]⁸ [rum]⁸ A-S⁸. Two-column layout.
LC copy has the Repertorium part (gatherings 3A-3E, containing the Repertorium, Tabula [i.e. index], Epitoma de ordine imperatorum, and the Summarium Institutionum) bound in front, before the t.p. (possibly so issued?)
LC copy imperfect: in the Repertorium part, leaves 3A1 (special t.p. of the Repertorium?) and 3E6 wanting; the main text wants leaves IX-XXIV (gatherings b-c), and the fore-edge half of leaf CCCLI is excised. Substituted for the missing gatherings b-c are leaves 9-24 (signed b-c) from an unidentified roughly contemporary edition of Gambiglioni's Tractatus de maleficiis.
