[80] and its facing page (recto of the free endpaper) has the following ms. inscription: "Aus einem weiteren Reisebericht, der (zur Fortbildung der Beamten in den Frendsprachen) jetzt in der mit Unterstützung des Reichsministeriums herausgegebenen Fachzeitschrift Verhehrs- und Betriebswissenschaft für Post und Telegraphie erscheint." Below this inscription are mounted portions of a magazine article in German and French, with the texts facing each other. The German text begins: "Auf der suche nach den acht grossen Inseln. Bericht über eine Fahrt nach dem Fernen Osten (1934-1935). Von Dr. E. Hofmann." The following two facing pages (the verso of the free endpaper and p. [3] of cover) have continuations of the mounted article and an ill. from the article mounted beneath with the ms. notation: "(Eine der Abbildungen.)" To its right on p. 3 of cover is ms. inscription: "Einige Teile der Reisebeschreibung sind in englischer Sprache (mit Ubersetzung ins Deutsche geschieben:" followed by the mounted text: "In Search of the Eight Great Islands."
