Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1932, Tomás Hudson's background is in industrial engineering. He has studied at St George's College (Quilmes), Cambridge University, IMD, Harvard Business School, and Stanford University. He developed his career at Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI), where he worked for 36 years, serving as president of ICI México as well as ICI Argentina. ICI is now part of Akzo Nobel, the world's largest coatings manufacturer. Since his departure from ICI, he has served in non-executive positions in eight companies. He has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Order of the British Empire and the Argentine Espíritu de Granadero. He has been a trust beneficiary and board member of the Argentine-British Chamber of Commerce; the Hospital Británico; and St George's College, Quilmes. In addition, he is a full member of the Academia Sanmartiniana as well as active in a number of historical associations.
