Edition Notes
Arrighi's first Italic type, designed and cut for Giovanni Giorgio Trissino.
Trissino commissioned Arrighi to supplement the italic font with letters (some Greek) to be incorporated into a reformed alphabet used for Trissino's literary and linguistic works.
First Arrighi type specimen sheet printed in Italy; first of his formal chancery types.
Janiculo was Trissino's private printer, removing with him from Rome to Vicenza in 1529.
