Proceedings of a Connectivity Colloquium held in 2004 in Key West, Florida, to bring together a range of perspectives on the concept of connectivity, from scientific to human dimensions, and their applications to management and policy for the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. Sessions address topics such as regional-scale connectivities, connectivity between people and marine fishery resources, coral reef preservation, climate change, resource conditions, water quality, coral and seagrass habitats, human perspectives, and management tools. The management tools sessions include discussion of no-take marine reserves, marine zoning, and how acoustic telemetry might be used in MPA design.
