Our Lady's Church in Copenhagen appears as a collective work designed by the architect C.F. Hansen and with decoration by the sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen. The building's austere, antique-inspired forms speak the same language as the monumental white marble statues and reliefs, and the Christ statue in the apse over the altar has had the lead role for almost 200 years - both in the church room and in the liturgy of the church.
