The astronomical portion is by David Young. The calendar pages are printed from the same typesettings as those in Hutchins' improved almanac for 1844 and in Farmers' almanac for 1844, both published by H. & S. Raynor at New York and calculated by Young. The engravings at their head in those almanacs are replaced by prose matter at their foot in the present one.
