Engraved throughout. Half-length port. of Vignola in architectural setting on t.p. Plates I-XXXVI and the title leaf, with change of imprint, are from the same plates as the 1607 edition. See Fowler.
Second pt. has special title leaf ([41]): Alcune opere d'architettura di Iacomo Barotio da Vignola, raccolte et poste in luce da Francesco Villamena. In Roma, lanno M. DC. XVII [1617]. The 2nd of 2 plates devoted to Michelangelo's Ionic capitals for the Campidoglio is dated 1619. The 2nd of the 2 folded plates devoted to Cardinal Farnese's Palazzo di Caprarola is signed by Villamena as engraver.
