Glauco Rodrigues (1928-2004) was one of the few Brazilian artists who has, in fact, exercised the principles of Oswald de Andrade's metaphorical anthropophagy. His works are an anachronistic crossover of characters and situations from Brazil's past and present history, that remain a current acid criticism of Brazilian society that questions political and aesthetic concerns. Authored by curator Denise Mattar, the book features critical texts by Roberto Pontual and Frederico Morais, and an interview with French critic Nicolas Bourriaud by José Teixeira de Brito.
