Includes (p. [133]-250): Hymns and spiritual songs. In three books. I. Collected from the Scriptures. II. Composed on divine subjects. III. Prepared for the Lord's Supper. By Isaac Watts. Exeter, 1818.

The leaves are divided horizontally, the upper section containing the words, and the lower section the music, "in such a manner that any tune may be presented to the eye with any psalm or hymn." The "Advertisement" is signed by the inventor of this "construction", Moses Elliot.

Musical section has special t.-p.: A valuable collection of sacred musick, adapted to the various metres in Watts. Exeter, J.J. Williams, printer, 1818.

Upper and lower sections paginated separately (upper section: 250, [6] p.; lower section: [2], 251, [3] p.)

Upper and lower sections signed identically: 1-21⁶ 22⁴.

Dimensions: upper section, 13 cm; lower section: 7 cm.

Includes indexes.

Music is typeset.

Rare Book copy: Imperfect: t.p. of lower section (A valuable collection of sacred musick) wanting.
