Comprises Ward's obituary clipped from the Denver times of May 25, 1917, letter in pencil with, at head of text, Shanghai c/o Y.W.C.A. China 30 Nov. 1917, signed E.J. Ward (Emma Jane Ward, wife of William Shaw Ward?), a folder for the Y.W.C.A. finance fellowship campaign, and a photograph of William J. Ward with his birth and death dates inscribed in ink.
William Shaw Ward was a graduate of the Columbia University School of Mines, metallurgist, museum curator, and juror for art shows at various international expositions. Cf. obituary, leaf [1].
