This anti-papal pamphlet, written in the form of a "Himmelsbrief", or letter supposed to be by Christ, himself, that has fallen from heaven to earth, was, for the sixteenth century, a true "tract for the times", going through no less than twenty seven separate printings between 1524 and 1613, ten of which appeared in 1524, alone.
