First t.-p. wanting, title from the Hist. cat. of printed editions of Holy Scripture in the library of the British and foreign Bible soc., 1903, v.1, p.52, art. 66. Cf. for full description.

In addition to the t.-p. of the Old Testament, 17 prelim. leaves and 16 leaves at end of the New Testament are wanting. Also pasted slip on RR.b.

Known as Becke's or Day's Bible.

Each part has title within border and Day's device.

Woodcut precedes each Gospel. Initials.

T.-p. for New Testament reads: The Newe Testament of oure Savioure Jesu Christe diligently translated, accordyng to ye Greke, with certayne notes folowynge the chapters ... Anno M.D.LI.

Ms. notes on the genealogy of the Chadwick and Liversedge families. The book belonged in 1665 to Wm. Liversedge.
