Edition Notes
Illustrated with a full-page engraving to each book of the poem. These are composite plates which illustrate the principal stories of each book.
The plates were copied from the Paris, 1617 ed., engraved by Jaspar Isaac, which in turn were were copied from the Venice, 1584 ed. Cf. Prindle.
Dedicatory epistle signed in letterpress by the translator, N. Renouard.
"Le Jugement de Paris", the "XV discours sur les Metamorphoses d'Ovide" and "Les epistres d'Ovide" all have separate dated title pages and separate pagination, but register is continuous.
Added engraved title-page.
Signatures: ã⁸ A-Z⁸ Aa-Yy⁸ a-2d⁸.
