The house being referred to in the poem: 4325 Baltimore Avenue, West Philadelphia. Baltimore Avenue is the main thoroughfare of West Philadelphia. Clark Park is located directly across the street from 4325. Mary Evelyn Harju lived on or around Baltimore Avenue for most of the Aughts.

Something Solid is a triptych of sonnets and double sonnets by American writer Adam Fieled. It explores the author's life in the Nineties and in Aughts Philadelphia, and up to the present day.
