Edition Notes
"De l'imprimerie de Gueffier jeune, rue Git-le-Coeur, no. 16"--Colophon.
Originally published: Paris: Richard Breton, 1565 (with 120 woodcuts); cf. Mortimer. The woodcuts are attributed to Francois Desprez; cf. Porcher.
This 1797 edition was to be issued in two parts, each containing 60 plates; cf. Preface. Apparently the second part was never issued.
Illustrated with etchings after the original woodcuts; each is signed in the plate "C.N. Malapeau".
Signatures: [A]⁴.
