Abstract: This pamphlet is designed to assist consumers in incorporating dietary guidelines for lowering cancer risk, recommended by the American Institute for Cancer Research, into their diets. Advice regarding use of new foods and traditional favorites in ways that may reduce the chances of developing cancer is offered. Seven different menus providing 3 daily meals and snacks are included, with additional information. Specific topics include control of dietary fat and the utility of whole grains, vitamins A and C, and legumes. The 15 recipes range from vegetable rice and banana bran muffins, to bean and bulgur salad and winter squash with lemon chicken.
