I have a copy of the 1892 edition. It was handed down to my Mom from her mother from her grandmother. It is an amazing but simple book. With incredible recipes from lobster bisque to how to remove freckles. Also advice on how to make a home pleasant which is the greatest safeguard against the temptations of the young.
