Meltdown on Hoth was a children's book written by Jane Mason and illustrated by Chris Trevas. It tells a story set just before The Empire Strikes Back, when C-3PO and R2-D2 deal with a problem of heat in Princess Leia's Echo Base quarters, as mentioned in the opening scenes of the film.
