This is a very helpful book for understanding the chronology of the life of Jesus. In careful detail Trench gives the Apostle John's account of the life of Christ, and where there is a lapse of time in John's gospel, Trench inserts the details given by Matthew, Mark, and Luke. He refers to the Greek text continually, but this poses no hindrance for the average Christian reader. Trench offers much insight on the text that will amply reward anyone who takes the time to study this book.
