Who is Quan?

Walking undetected among us are beings with extraordinary powers and abilities beyond our wildest imaginings. Most of us assign rumors of them to fantasy, choosing instead the comfort of the known, the predictable, the understandable. Who among us has not heard of sorcerers or masters who have transcended time, space, and the laws of physical reality?
