"Poverty is multidimensional; it encompasses not only what is called income poverty, i.e., deprivation of income/consumption such as the satisfaction of minimum level of food and other basic needs, but also limited access to health, nutrition, and education services, which aggravates the impact of income poverty, resulting in child mortality, short life expectancy, and illiteracy."
