"Having a few days before me in which I will not be very busily employed, I Sit down to endeavour to fullfill your request and my own promise of Giving you Some acc of my passage from Belfast to the West Indies, but as I had no Oppurtunitys of taking down the date of any occurances that happened [to] me, you need not expect that I can Give you an accurate acc of them."
