First Sentence
"The resolution of a light microscope, defined as the smallest distance E between just resolvable specimen points, is limited by the wavelength of the light and the numerical aperture n sin of the objective lens An improvement in the resolution is only possible by decreasing the wavelength using ultraviolet or X-rays, ultrasound waves or electrons and ions with a deBroglie wavelength which becomes = 3.7 pm for 100 keV electrons, for example."
