Subject: Date of Publication
Subject: Date of Publication
This pamphlet was printed in Independence, Missouri at least six times: 1899, 1910, 1916, 1918, 1921, and 1927. Although the date of publication is not provided in this edition, it can be estimated based on the street address of the Southern States Mission printed on the inside cover. The address, 485 North Ave. N. E., Atlanta, GA was not the location of the mission office until July 1920, thus eliminating the possibly of this edition being printed prior to 1920.
In addition, this is not the 1921 Independence, Missouri edition because it is 23 pages while this copy from the Bancroft Library is 24 pages. The 1927 edition is 24 pages however; the Southern States Mission office remained at the North Avenue address for several decades, and it is possible that this copy could be the result of a later printing.
