Periochae VIII", leaves [1]-68, 6th count, has special dated title page with imprint: Parisiis, apud Carolum Macaeum. 1577; the words "kata tópous" have been transliterated from the Greek
Identical in contents with the edition published by the same press in 1571, except for new preliminary matter, which includes a new prefatory note by Valet and a general index
This work, published posthumously, is a general text, without illustrations, of internal medicine, with added treatises on the plague, pharmaceuticals, and surgery. The work deals with pharmaceutical recipes used in medicine. He includes two sections dealing with the use of guaiac, one of the early botanical imports from the New World, for its use in the treatment of venereal disease
