520 $aJean-Claude Panet (1719-1798) came to Quebec as a soldier in 1740. He married Louise Barolet in about 1748. They had fourteen children. Their son, Jean-Antoine, was the first Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Quebec. Their son, Bernard-Claude, was the Bishop of Quebec. Follows the lives and military careers of their descendants for seven generations.
