San Luis Potosí, México 1981) has worked in a photographic project collecting images of the terrible journey as unauthorized passengers in cargo trains trough Mexico that the Central American immigrants travel to reach the United States, in particular those that have lost some of their extremities because of falling from the train during their journey. Palos moved to Guatemala and started this project that resulted in the documental "En Algún Lugar" (2010 28 min) and the present book, where he denounces the political and social conditions of the region and explains why Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador have become a region where millions of persons try to cross illegally into the United States.
