520 $aSimon Marchand was probably born in Louisiana. His father was probably Pierre Etienne Marchand. Simon married Marie Savoye and they had two children. Their daughter, Rosalie Adorea Marchand, married Joseph Gonzales. Their son, Joseph Alexander Marchand, was born 18 March 1836. He married Magdeline Octavie Landry (1841-1862). They had two children, John A. Marchand (1862-1939), who married Lorena Gertrude Carver (1866-1927) and Marie Lydia, who died young. Includes Broussard and related families.
