520 $aMexico has again become one of the most attractive contries int he world for U.S. companies to do business with. Such factors as its 3,000 kilometer border with the U.S., its proximity to U.S. transportation, its increasingly higher skilled (and currently low-wage) labor force, and taxes that apply only to the value added in Mexico have led to the creation of a highly successful in-bond assembly and manufacturing industry to produce goods for the U.S. Market. This work will be directed first at the problems foreign companies already established in Mexico face in transforming into a joint venture, then at the issues involed in establishing new companines in the joint venture form.
