500 $aWilliam Lloyd Garrison asks Isaac Knapp to write to Henry Egbert Benson, who still has a dreadful cough. Garrison suggests Henry E. Benson takes a trip to the West Indies; Benson's tour of Philadelphia and the settlement with Arnold Buffum deserves more than their thanks. The Board of Managers' resolution was too strong in the case of the petty disturbance in the case of two women claimed as slaves. Garrison describes Almira Crandall Rand's visit. Benjamin Lundy made a neat book of Elizabeth Margaret Chandler's writings; Garrison requests four copies sent to him. All of Samuel Joseph May's friends will be sorry to learn that he has accepted a call to a Scituate parish. Garrison wounded his leg by jumping from a wall and striking it against a sharp stump.
