Kim plays an active role in her community, most notably for her work with Relay For Life, St. Catherine's Catholic Church, and her volunteer activities at Angel Avenue, a local extended care service for those with dementia. Kim is married to her high school sweetheart, Buck. The couple has two grown sons: Joey, who lives in Montana, and Jason, who along with his wife, Savanthi, lives in Florida.
