520 $aRio Blanco Oil Shale Project oversaw a hydrologic program in order to establish a hydrologic environmental baseline, describe local aquifers, and evaluate the quality and quantity of water to be produced from numerous mining plans. To achieve these goals, the hydrologic program was divided into nine task areas: surface water monitoring stations, surface water data collection, alluvial aquifer monitoring, deep aquifer drilling program, deep aquifer completion program, upper and lower aquifer pumping tests, deep aquifer monitoring, data input to mathematical model and dewatering analysis. The status or progress of each task is summarized and discussed throughout Progress Report 3 and in Progress Report 2.
