520 $aThis report describes an experiment in which Army personnel wore a gas mask while entering verbal commands to a voice recognition system. The results indicate that, with the equipment used, recognition performance is certainly not acceptable for field use at this time. Further research would be needed on this interface of technologies in order to provide user acceptable voice recognition accuracies.
