520 $aThis is the Psalter which Queen Elizabeth called a book of "Geneva jigs," and which the Earl of Rochester said would have made King David mad. It was used by the Established Church of England until 1698, and Bishop Jewel says it was a common thing for as many as six thousand persons to be found singing its Psalms at St. Paul's Cross in London.
