520 8 $aExhibition of the close to 30 colorful large format photographs that artist José Manuel Ballester (b. Madrid, 1960) took in his diverse trips to the city of So Paulo between 2007 and 2009. The images document some of the most important icons of Modern architecture of Sao Paulo including: the building Itlia, park Jardim da casa Modernista, the Vila Mariana and the Pinacoteca do Estado, highlighting the building Copan and the green space Parque do Ibirapuera, both constructions designed by noted architect Oscar Niemayer. Juan Manuel Bonet, in addition to being the curator of the exhibition, accompanied the artist in all his photographic sessions in the city. Ballester has a an academic formation in plastic arts from the Universidade Complutense de Madrid (Spain) and is considered today, one of the most important photographers in Spain.
