520 $aChto Delat (What is to be done?) is a collective that was founded in 2003 in St. Petersburg, and counts artists, critics, philosophers, and writers from St. Petersburg and Moscow among its members. The collective came about following the urgency of mergin political theory, art, and activism. Its activity includes art projects, educational seminars, public campaigns, and ranges from video and theater plays, to radio programs and murals.
520 8 $aThe catalogue for Chto Delat's exhibition at the Secession, like the show itself, consists of two parts: one section is a new installation reflecting on the present situation in a moment of growing danger and catastrophe (also mirrored in the print format of the new issue of our newspaper); the other, archival section contextualizes our work for more than a decade by means of posters, ephemera, film fragments and documents and is represented in this book in the form of a poster timeline and lexicon. Exhibition: Secession, Vienna, Austria (21.11.2014-25.01.2015).
