520 8 $aCarl Fredrik Reuterswärd (1934-2016) is one of Sweden's most well-known artists internationally. He is probably best known for for his revolver with the knotted barrel, Non-Violence which exists in several version in Sweden as well as all over the world. 0The exhibition 'Alias: CFR' presents two sides of Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd's career as an artist. It focuses in part on his extensive Kilroy project, which he initiated in the early 1960s. The exhibition features the complex installation Kilroy II. In addition to the Kilroy project, the exhibition includes late works created after Reuterswärd suffered a stroke in 1989 that paralyzed the right side of his body and forced him to switch from working with this right hand to his left. He has described the period that followed his stroke as in part o form of liberation, and his work seems to have shifted to become more expressive and emotional compared to the more conceptual art of his early career. 00Exhibition: Moderna Museet Malmö, Malmö, Sweden (02.02-05.05.2019) / Moderna Museet Stockholm, Stockholm , Sweden (14.09.2019-16.02.2020).
