520 $aHans Ulrich Obrist - Brazilian interviews vol. 2 gathers 30 interviews of the Swiss curator and director of the Serpentine Gallery in London with Brazilian artists, anthropologists, musicians, filmmakers and other thinkers. Together, they form a multiple panel of what is thought and accomplished today in the country. The book brings conversations that deal with issues intrinsic to the construction of an artistic lexicon, such as the process of creation and the role of society's art, to debates about pressing issues, such as the fight against racism, the formation of a decolonial circuit of art, the conquest of subjectivity. This publication is the continuation of the Entrevistas brasileiras vol. 1, published in 2019, in which the curator debated ideas with masters and pioneers of the 20th century. In the current volume, the curator talks with artists and thinkers born after 1959, date of the construction of Brasilia - a landmark of Brazilian Modernism - who developed their work on the way to the 21st century, and others, even younger, but whose work already prints their own calligraphy.
