In the space between caption title and text on leaf [7]a is a letter A in grayish red and white on a gold background, within a blue border surrounded by red penwork. Bound in 17th-cent. stamped pigskin. The endpapers have been identified as paper made at Deggendorf in Lower Bavaria, known to have been in use between 1619 and 1624.
