The study sought to find the magnitude of the effects of armed conflict on women's ability to ensure household food security; find the effect of changes in household structure due to armed conflict; find non-armed conflict causes of household food insecurity and how these are manifest in conflict and non-conflict prone districts; identify women's coping mechanisms with the environment created by armed conflicts in general, and with reference to ensuring household food security in particular; make feasible recommendations for sustainable farm production, household food security, and conflict resolution.
